The funeral will be held from Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Friday, November 3, with a Mass in St. Cecilia’s Church in Leominster at 10:00am. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Thursday, November 2, in the funeral home from 4-7pm.
OBITUARY
Leominster – Yvonne G. (Bolduc) Belanger, 99, of Leominster, was called home to her Lord in Heaven on October 30, 2017, while surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness.
Yvonne was born in Laconia, NH on March 25, 1918, a daughter of the late Ovide and Zenaide (Belanger) Bolduc. She will be fondly remembered for her unwavering faith, wonderful homecooked French meals, love of cats, and playing solitaire for hours on end. Yvonne had a quick wit and keen sense of humor, even until her last days.
Christmas Eve, hosted by Yvonne, was the one day a year her whole family was together. She made the celebration so special, all upcoming generations hold the holiday tradition so dear to them. Yvonne loved being “Memere” to all her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who were a great joy in her life.
She leaves her children, Robert “BeBop” Belanger of Centerville, Diane Ross and husband Richard of Gardner, Alan “Mike” Belanger and Diana Nichols of Westminster, Denise Belanger of Leominster, Rachel Terrell and husband Billy of Leominster, Jeannine Pothier and husband Danny of Leominster; grandchildren, Brian and Steven Belanger, Chad Demchuk, Sue Richard, Tonia Zwicker, Lisa Ellsworth, Michelle Niles, Nathan Belanger, Jenna and Seth Terrell, Amanda St. John, Adam Pothier; 9 great grandchildren, and sever nieces and nephews.
Yvonne was predeceased by her husband Ernest L. Belanger in 1981, her son Dennis Belanger in 1947, four sisters, and two brothers.
The family would like to extend a most heartfelt thank you to Montachusett Home Health Care and all of Yvonne’s dedicated caregivers, who made it possible for her to stay comfortably in the home she has lived in since 1956.
