William Joseph Babineau Jr., affectionately known as Bill, was called to his eternal resting place on December 26, 2024. Born in Fitchburg, MA on July 13, 1951, to William and Camille Babineau, he was a lifelong resident of his beloved hometown. His resilience and ambitious nature propelled him to success as the owner of a local cleaning services business. Bill was an exemplary figure of dedication, mastering anything he set his mind to with a tenacious spirit and an unwavering work ethic.
A man of varied interests, Bill was an avid collector of tractors, coins, bells, and baseball cards. He enoyed summers on the lake and was an excellent water skier. His hobbies extended to metal detecting and magnet fishing, pursuits that reflected his inquisitive nature and his love for the thrill of the hunt. A truly versatile craftsman, Bill mastered many aspects of wood working and construction, including the incredible acheivement of building his own home. He found great joy and peace in the companionship of his pets.
Bill is survived by his daughter, Laurie Salame, his son, William Babineau, his brothers, Brian and Richard Babineau, his aunt, Nancy Babineau, and longtime partner, Lorraine Story. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Camille Babineau, and his sister, Sandy Ricard.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held Thursday, January 9, 2024 from 2:00-4:00 pm at the Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg.
