Viola M. Jenkins

February 3, 1932 — March 12, 2025

Fitchburg, MA

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Viola M. Jenkins, known to those who loved her as "Vi", a loving, dedicated, smart, and resilient woman who was born in Shediac, NB, Canada on February 3, 1932, and passed away on March 12, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. A special shout out to the wonderful staff at Leominster hospital on floor M and the CCU. Viola was a woman of great strength and beauty, whose life was marked by the love she had for her family and friends. She was a pillar of support and the embodiment of resilience, always taking whatever life threw at her with grace and courage. Her incredible resilience was only matched by her deep love for those around her, and her desire to always be there for them.

Viola found joy and fulfillment in her 35-year service as a fitting room clerk at Marshalls Department Store. Her smart, dedicated work ethic was recognized many times, showcasing her accomplishments. She loved giving customers advice on what clothing looked best on them. But it was her personal life where Viola truly shone. She was a dedicated mother to her children, Roland Jenkins, Deborah LaCroix, and Wendy Wilder. Viola was a doting grandmother to Izik, Erik, Katrina, Alisha, Aron, Jessica, Sean, and Brian, who will forever remember their beloved Nana. Her eight great-granddaughters were the apple of her eye, and she loved spending time with them, creating memories that will forever be cherished. Viola is also survived by her siblings, Leola Leger and Adolphe LeBlanc, her son-in-laws Thomas Wilder and Jeffrey LaCroix, Roland's significant other (Marjorie Johnson) and friend Shelley Kandil. She was preceded in death by her parents, Adolphe and Emma LeBlanc, her brothers Arthur and Joseph LeBlanc, sister Albertine Obrien, her loving husband, Roland Jenkins, and her grandson, Nicholas Jenkins.

Her spirit, strength, and love have left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Her memory will forever be a beacon of hope, love, and resilience to all.

At this time of remembrance, we invite you to share your photos and precious memories of Viola on the memorial page. Your stories and pictures will serve as a comfort to the family and a testament to Viola's lasting legacy.
