Tomasita Rentas Torres

LEOMINSTER - Tomasita (Sita) Rentas Montes, 86, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2023, at UMass Hospital in Worcester surrounded by family.
She was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on December 31, 1936, the daughter of Fidel Rentas and Alejandrina Montes. She married Juan Jose Torres Colon and stayed home to raise their eight children.

She is predeceased by her husband Juan Jose Torres Colon, their son, Jose Enrique Torres Rentas, their daughter, Maria Torres Rentas, and three grandchildren. She leaves behind her children Hilda Torres Rentas of Leominster, Iris Torres Rentas of Fitchburg, Mirna Torres Rentas of Fitchburg, Jose Torres Rentas of Fitchburg, Elba Torres of Ponce, Puerto Rico, and Miriam Torres Rentas of Ponce Puerto Rico as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Sita enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved to dance with them and watch her Spanish TV shows. She loved plants and gardening. She was always happy and had a positive outlook on life. Sita was the heart and glue of the family and will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.

Calling hours will be held at Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg, MA on Thursday, April 13, 2023, from 5 pm-7 pm and from 10 am-11 am on Friday, April 14, 2023.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023, at 11 am in Brandon Funeral Home, burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Fitchburg.
