Timothy H. O’Leary, passed away peacefully with family by his side, on Wednesday, September 13, after a short illness
Born and raised in Fitchburg, “Tim”, was the son of the late George and Olive (Benshoof) O’Leary.
Tim is predeceased by his brother, Michael O’Leary
Tim is survived by his fiancée, Sandra Deming, with whom he lived, of Lunenburg; his four children; Jason T. O’Leary and his wife Leith of Stevenson Ranch, California; Patrick M. O’Leary and his wife April of Conway, South Carolina; Sarah B. Mysliwy and her husband Erik of Andover and Benjamin A. O’Leary and his wife Claudia of North Andover.
He is also survived by his siblings; Judy Normandin, wife of Eric Normandin of Fitchburg; John O’Leary and his wife JoAnn of Fitchburg; Eileen Bourgault, wife of Kent Bourgault of Fitchburg and Daniel O’Leary and his wife Karen of Ipswich. He also leaves numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved dearly.
Tim leaves his nine grandchildren; Collin, Eleanor, Rylee, Jack, Mason, Logan, Amelia, Callie and Ryan of which he loved and enjoyed spending time with.
Tim graduated from Fitchburg High School, Class of ’70 and was involved in many class reunions.
Tim spent 20 years as a mortgage specialist focusing on his unique quality for excellent customer service. His entire career was focused in the customer service industry whereas he loved working with people, thus leaving behind many friends and colleagues who will miss his ingenious smile.
When his children were young, he spent many years as a Fitchburg Biddy League basketball coach and a Fitchburg Youth baseball coach. Tim was also active in many civic organizations including the annual Civic Days Parades.
