Leominster- Thomas R. McGovern Jr., 67 passed away on Monday, April 22 in the Keystone Center from metastasized pancreatic cancer.
A Memorial service will be held at the Peoples Church, 56 South Main St., Ashburnham, MA. on May 4, 2019 at 3:00 PM and another at Living Word Church, 93 Lakeshore Drive South, Hewitt, NJ on June 1, 2019 at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or to your favorite charity.
Leominster- Thomas R. McGovern Jr., 67 passed away on Monday, April 22 in the Keystone Center from metastasized pancreatic cancer.
He was born on February 11, 1952 in Springfield, MA, son of the late Thomas R., Sr. and Roseanne (Rawls) McGovern. He graduated from West Springfield High School in 1969. He resided in Brimfield, MA, Charlton, MA, Milford, CT, and recently in West Milford, NJ. He graduated from Moody Bible Institute with a BA degree summa cum lauda in Biblical Studies.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Patricia Eckart-McGovern, his daughter, Erin Westover and her husband Timothy of Fitchburg, MA. He is also survived by his cousins: Beth Wilder of Webster, MA, Barbara McGovern, Nancy Genovese of Westfield, MA and Roseanne Rawls of Concord, NC and their families.
Tom was a salesperson for Orkin Pest Control for many years. He was a member of Living Word Church in West Milford, NJ. And was also a bible study teacher. Tom had a great interest in Apologetics, the discipline of defending Christianity.
