Fitchburg – Theresa DiPasquale, 90, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on May 31, 2017. The funeral will be held Monday, June 5, 2017 in St. Anthony di Padua Church at 11:00 a.m. Calling hours are Sunday from 4-7 p.m. Burial is in St. Bernard’s Cemetery. Brandon Funeral Home, Fitchburg is directing arrangements.
Fitchburg – Theresa DiPasquale, 90, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on May 31, 2017. She was born on March 18, 1927 in Leominster, MA, the daughter of Giovanni and Angela (Baggio) Bisol.
Theresa attended St. Francis School until 8th grade and then spent two years at Saxon Trade, obtaining her certificate in stitching. On the 5th of July, 1948, she married the love of her life, Rocco DiPasquale
Theresa spent her entire life in service to God, her husband, Rocco, and her family, and she gave her heart and soul to St. Anthony’s School and Church. Of all her jobs, the one she loved the most was Teacher’s Aide at St. Anthony’s School. She started in the year 1979 and worked until she was 85, leaving only because of health issues. Besides teaching, she performed as many odd jobs around the school as she could, including “making the coffee”! For the church, she had many ministries including Sacristan for 9 years, Eucharistic Minister to the Homebound, Lector, and Religious Education Teacher.
She was a Child of Mary, belonged to the Woman’s Guild, PTA and was an assistant Girl Scout Leader. She also belonged to the St. Rita Sodality serving as an Officer at times. She helped with the annual bazaar and Friday night Bingo for many years.
She is predeceased by her parents, her husband, and all of her siblings.
Surviving are her five sons, Bernard (Norma), John (Linda), Michael (Brenda), Stephen (Sharon), and Peter (Lisa); her three daughters, Anne Gilmartin (Kevin), Paula Allen (Robert) and Mary Beth Theisen; 19 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
