Theresa’s funeral Mass will be held in St. Bernard’s Parish at St. Camillus Church, 333 Mechanic St. Fitchburg on Thursday April 5th at 10AM.

Burial will follow in St. Bernard’s Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd. Fitchburg is directing arrangements. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations may be made in her memory to Amedisys Inc. 36 Williams St. Leominster, 01453.



OBITUARY

Fitchburg-Theresa D. (Bourque) Fitzpatrick, 88 of Fitchburg, passed away peacefully at The Highlands on Saturday March 24.

Theresa was born on May 7, 1929 the daughter of the late Joseph and Evelyn (Wells) Bourque. She graduated from St. Bernard’s High School in 1947 where she was Secretary for her class.

She spent her career as an Office Manager for both Dr. Robert Babineau Sr., as well as Dr. Robert Babineau Jr., until her retirement. Theresa was also on the Board of Directors at the Newman Center at Fitchburg State University. She was a parishioner of St. Bernard’s Parish at St. Camillus Church in Fitchburg. Upon on her retirement, she spent much of her time traveling with her husband. She also supported her grandchildren by attending sporting events and many other activities. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her three sons, Richard Fitzpatrick Jr. and wife Karen of Fitchburg, Kevin Fitzpatrick and wife Deanna of Leominster, and Brian Fitzpatrick and wife Paula of Ashby; grandchildren, Kelly and Ryan Fitzpatrick, Erin Carter, Katelin Capone, Megan Foote, Tracey Fitzpatrick and Kara McCarthy; four great grandchildren, Kennedy and Benjamin Carter, Lily Mello, and Evelyn Foote; she also leaves several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Richard O. Fitzpatrick Sr. in 2004; three siblings, Marie (Bourque) Haley, Robert and Roger Bourque.

The family would also like to thank The Gables of Fitchburg and The Highlands for the wonderful care she received at both facilities. Also Beacon Hospice (a division of Amedisys Inc.) for the compassion, comfort and extra care she received while at The Highlands.
