Westminster – Susan A. (Drinkwine) Dery, 71, passed away peacefully at home on January 31, with her loving family by her side. Susan was born in Fitchburg on September 23, 1949 the daughter of the late Robert and Irene (Cormier) Drinkwine. She attended St. Francis of Assisi School and graduated from Fitchburg High School, Class of 1967, with Special Honors and “Gold F”. Susan worked for Ward, Walsh and Roach, Attys at Law as an Office Manager for 13 years, until becoming Asst. Div. Secretary for the MIT Laboratory for four years. She then spent 12 years as the Director of Operations for Atlantic Aerospace Electronics Company, where she attended and participated in the Paris Air Show on behalf of the company in 1993. Susan was the Facilities Director of Acadia Insurance Co., before retiring from DRS Technologies as the Accounts Receivable Administrator in 2006. She enjoyed golfing and was a former member of the Westminster Country Club, where she was active in the Club’s Ladies Organizations. Susan was also a member and club representative of the Worcester County Women’s Golf Association as well as a former member of the Women’s Golf Association of Massachusetts. She is survived by her husband of 20 years and the love of her life, David B. Dery of Westminster; beloved daughter Sabrina M. Stanwood of Hopkinton, NH; step children, Rebecca (Dery) Andrews and Michael Dery, both of Leominster; grandchildren, Madelaine Sue Morse, Parker Dery, Marley Andrews, and Abigail Bergeron; brother Gary R. Drinkwine and wife Millie of Leominster; several nieces and nephews.
