Calling hours will be held in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Sunday, March 5th from 4-7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am on Monday, March 6th in Saint Anthony’s Church. Burial will follow in Saint Bernard’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Venerini Sisters Retirement Fund, 374 Main Street, Rutland, MA 01543.



OBITUARY Sr. Inez Ferrari, 88, of the Venerini Sisters died at the Jewish Healthcare Center in Worcester on Wednesday, March 1. We would like to thank the nurses and staff for their loving care and concern for Sr. Inez. She was born in North Adams, Ma to the late Frank and Maria Rosa (Cunico) Ferrari. She joined the Venerini Sisters in 1946 and was professed in 1948. Sr. Inez graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in Worcester. She earned her B.A. at Anna Maria College in Paxton, MA and an M.Ed. at Boston College in Boston, MA. She also attended International Conferences in ESL, Ecology and the Environment. Though teaching in many schools in the Worcester and Springfield Diocese, the greatest number of years was in the Worcester Diocese at St. Anthony’s in Fitchburg, MA and Venerini Academy in Worcester, MA. Sr. Inez was also a Principal at various schools as well as the Provincial of the Venerini Sisters. Sr. Inez was a person who was deeply concerned about others, in particular with those she had a relationship with. She would be available for them in any aspect of their lives. Her goal as a teacher was to see that her students reached their highest potential. They held her in great esteem as she did for them. She had a tender heart for animals, in particular for cats. Sr. Inez was an avid Boston sports fan. She faithfully watched the Red Sox, Celtics and Patriots. Besides her Religious Sisters in the Venerini Congregation, Sr. Inez leaves her sister, Elena Ferraro of Holden, MA as well as cousins in the USA and Italy. She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph.
