Fitchburg- Shirley F. (Chrost) Naddif, 81, passed away on Saturday, April 22 at the Golden Living Center after a short illness.
She was born on October 6, 1935 in the Lucy Helen Hospital in Fitchburg, a daughter of the late Herbert and Anna (Lombard) Chrost and has lived in Fitchburg her whole life.
Mrs. Naddif always said she grew up in the best times in Fitchburg, the 40’s and 50’s. She graduated from Fitchburg High School in June, 1953, and in the same year, on October 3, 1953 she married the love of her life, Lou Naddif. They had 61 years together until he passed away in 2014. Now they will be together forever.
She is survived by her sisters Laura Rohrbach and Nancy; her brothers, Richard Chrost, Tom Chrost; her niece, Rebecca DeBettencourt and her five children, two of which are her godchildren.
One of her last hopes was that the Mayor of Fitchburg will save our City Hall, which is part of our history.
Many thanks for the kind and thoughtful acts of Nancy Rogers, also her cousins in California, Michael and Sheila Lombard. Shirley enjoyed the many daily phone calls with her childhood friend Lorraine Michard.
