Leominster

Scott Michael Nacke passed away after a months-long battle with stomach cancer on Monday, February 10th surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Scott lived for much of his life in Leominster, MA, where he graduated from high school in 1994. He played Deck Hockey for years as a child and adult, and enjoyed passing his love of the sport on to his son. He was an avid fan of New England sports, especially hockey and football. He also enjoyed and passed his love of the local Worcester teams to both his children. Scott could be seen at as many WooSox and Railers games as he could manage. He was a master puck catcher! Scott was generally a quiet, thoughtful seeming man with a clever and wicked sense of humor. He was a hard worker, both at his job and at home, where he took great joy in maintaining his lawn and gardens.

Above all, Scott held family close, those members by blood as well as those he chose through life. Scott is survived by his devoted partner of nearly 13 years, Jennifer Fancy, and his beloved children, son Tyler Nacke (25), and daughter Arianna Fancy-Nacke (7); parents, Evelyn Nacke of Florida, and Carl Nacke and his wife, Judy, of Leominster, MA; Grandmother, Memere Alma Roy; brothers, Stephen Nacke and David Nacke; stepsisters, Jennifer Bidleman and Melissa Torres and their families; best friend, Leslie Carlson; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held this summer, according to Scott’s wishes.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in memory of Scott Nacke to support cancer research and patient care at dana-farber.org/gift. Gifts may be specifically directed to “gastrointestinal cancers.”
