The funeral will be held from Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Saturday, January 3, with a Mass at 11:30 am in Holy Family of Nazareth Church in Leominster. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 2, from 4-7 pm in the funeral home.

Sarah “Sally” J. (Grimley) Agnew, 76, of Leominster, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014 surrounded by her loving familyShe was born on March 14, 1938 in Leominster, the daughter of John and Lonia (Malley) Grimley.She is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Bruce N. Agnew; her six children, David Agnew and his wife, Carol of Leominster, Richard Agnew and his wife, Bonnie of Cary, NC, Suzanne Layne and her husband, Darryl of Wrentham, Paula Torres and her husband, Daniel of Leominster, Diane Agnew and her wife, Allison Gard of Westminster, CO, and Vicki Losey and her husband, Theodore of Leominster; 14 grandchildren, Holly and Neil Agnew, Evan, Olivia, Erica, and Chloe Layne, Robert and Shannon Godley, Victoria, Charles, and Samuel DiMarzio and Jaxon Gard, Reid and Mia Losey; siblings, James Grimley, Patricia Gaudet, John Grimley, Jr., Thomas Grimley, Nancy Oxner, and Rose Tedd; many nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers William and Edward Grimley.She graduated from Saint Bernard’s High School in 1956. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years in local businesses. She worked in the business office at the Doctor Franklin Perkins School in Lancaster for 24 years until her retirement in 2010. Sally was a member of the Holy Family of Nazareth Church in Leominster. She loved traveling with her husband, doing crosswords, jigsaw puzzles, and spending time with her family. Sally was a very thoughtful woman who found much joy in doing little things to make her family happy. She was sweet and caring to all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
