Sandra Kaye Snowden

FITCHBURG - Sandra (Sandy) Kaye Snowden, 67, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, June 25, 2023.

Sandy was born on August 10, 1955, in Antoine, Arkansas, a daughter of the late Jett and Gertrude (Jones) Snowden.

She is survived by her daughter Shaunti Phillips, son-in-law Demetrice Phillips, five grandchildren, Syeira Phillips, Dontay Phillips, Sianna Phillips, Donovan Phillips and Deon Phillips, brothers, Cota (Maria) Snowden, John (Donna) Snowden, James (Margie) Snowden, Lawrence Snowden, Roy (Monica) Snowden, sisters, Dorothy Meeks, Ethel Snowden, Alfrita (Eddie) Brown, nephew Leotis Snowden, and many other nieces and nephews.

Sandy is predeceased by her siblings, Samuel and Leonard Snowden, Olivia Myles, Rosie Oliver and Evelyn Fricks.

Sandy worked for 25 years at General Electric as a sales representative. After the plant closing, she was then employed at Argo Turboserve for another 25 years in the same position. Sandy was a Sunday School teacher for many years at her church. She enjoyed cooking, shopping and spending time with her family.

Services will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at 12 p.m. in the Brandon Funeral Home, located at 305 Wanoosnoc Rd, Fitchburg, MA 01420. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery, Fitchburg.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023 from 10am - 12pm in the funeral home.
