Sandra Rose Coleman

LUNENBURG - Sandra Rose Coleman , 80 , died Thursday , Thursday, May 4, 2023  at UMass Medical Center, Worcester.

She was born  in Fitchburg on March 7th, 1943, a daughter of the late  Andrew Hawthorne and Rita (Kittridge) Hawthorne. Sandra grew up in Lunenburg, she attended St. Bernard High School and went on to graduated from Lunenburg High School.  

She worked for Market Basket for many years in the courtesy booth.  She enjoyed crafts and especially enjoyed Christmas time.

She leaves her husband of 36 years, John A. Coleman; two sons, Eric Tautenhan and his wife Vicki of Waverly, Nebraska, Tom Tautenha of Fargo, North Dakota; one brother, Andrew Hawthorne and his wife Bette of Fitchburg; one sister, Joanne Jess and her husband Carl of Fitchburg; one grandchild, Kyle Tautenhan and his wife Alyesa of Omaha, Nebraska and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Cathryn Maynard of Rutland, MA.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at 12:30 PM in the Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg.  Burial will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen St., Winchendon. 

A calling hour will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm in the funeral home.
