There are no calling hours. A celebration of life and Sandi’s last party will be on November 20, from 2-6pm at the Eastwood Club on 389 Townsend St. Fitchburg, MA 01420.
OBITUARY
Fitchburg – Sandra J. “Sandi” (Cook) Allen, 60, of Fitchburg, passed away on Saturday, October 22.
Sandi was born on July 11, 1956 in Shirley, Ma. She spent many years of her childhood traveling the world with her parents, as her father was in the Army. She lived in Germany for a few years, and Texas for some as well, before settling into Central Massachusetts for High School. She graduated from Fitchburg High School in 1974.
She is remembered by many for her infectious laugh and her warm and outgoing personality. She was a beloved and influential member of the blues community, bringing people together and making friends wherever she went. Her and her husband Ted loved to ride motorcycles all around New England, and the occasional vacation, enjoying all the beauty this country has to offer. She was also a passionate animal lover who cared for many types of animals over the years, all the while making sure the birds and squirrels outside were well fed.
She worked at Home Staff for over 20 years, caring deeply for the elderly.
Sandi leaves behind her husband of 29 years, Theodore H. Allen; a daughter, Alisha Allen, a brother, Michael Cook, a sister Theresa Noguiera, and her mother Jenny Cook. She also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was predeceased by her father Robert J. Cook and her daughter Danielle Mallard.
