Lunenburg- Ruth A. (Crandall) Billings, 100 a lifelong Lunenburg resident died Thursday September 20 in her home under hospice care.
She was born on December 5, 1917, the daughter of the late Ira C. and Mabel (Pickles) Crandall. She was predeceased by a baby sister who died shortly after birth.
She lived on a farm on Page St. in Lunenburg until she was thirteen and then moved to her home in Lunenburg Center where she lived the rest of her life.
Ruth graduated from Lunenburg High School in 1937. She was a homemaker and a stay at home mother. She enjoyed taking care of her home and working in her garden. She was an animal lover and greatly enjoyed the cats and dog that she was blessed to have in her life.
Ruth leaves a son, Gordon A. Billings of Lunenburg, her daughter, Linda R. Aiguier of Leominster.
At the request of Mrs. Billings there will be a private graveside service for the family.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to the caring staff at Keystone Nursing Home, Health Alliance Home Health and Hospice and the wonderful hospice nurses. A special thank you to Jackie, Arlene and Nicole for their special care of our mother.
