Russell John Page Sr. age 70 of Lunenburg MA (previously Acton & Methuen) passed away peacefully in his sleep, Monday, January 13. He is survived by his wife Kimberly Coburn Page also of Lunenburg (Previously Acton & Weston), his son Russell Jr. of Bridgewater, MA, his brother William, and his wife Kathy of Flagtown NJ, and a sister Beverly Mate and her husband Kevin of Rio Grande NJ. 

His brother Robert of Wyomissing PA passed away in 2024. 

He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

Russell was born in Camden, NJ on June 15, 1954, to William, and Irma (Cairl) Page, both deceased. 

Growing up in NJ, he played trumpet in the Manasquan High School marching band.

He moved to MA after high school to attend Lowell Technological Institute (now UMass Lowell). During his time at Lowell, he became a brother of Delta Kappa Phi Fraternity. He earned a BS in Industrial Technology and in later years obtained his MS in Computer Science from Rivier College, Nashua NH.

He began his career as an electronics technician, advancing rapidly to become a lead technician. He then transitioned to software engineering which he continued for the rest of his career. He worked for several engineering companies,

primarily in the defense industry. At one point he worked on the MIT accelerator connected with the Department of the Air Force (DAF). He also taught college level computer courses. Subsequent to the many IT layoffs in the 1990s, he worked for the Internal Revenue Service reviewing taxes. When retired, he tutored computer programming languages and other computer-related subjects. 

Russ was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed season tickets for many years. Throughout his life he pursued many varied interests including: photography, bee keeping, developing websites , Using Arduino single-board microcontrollers and microcontroller kits for building digital devices, tinkering with everything and all the music of the 1970s- he was a successful Song Quiz competitor for many years!

In lieu of flowers, Donations may be sent to the American Kidney Foundation or the American Lung Association.

After a private memorial service, burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, in Weston.
