Rosaria “Sadie” Perla

The funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 8, at 11:00am in Saint Anthony di Padua Church, 84 Salem St., Fitchburg. Burial will follow in Saint Bernard’s Cemetery. Those attending are asked to please wear a mask. There are no calling hours.
Fitchburg – Rosaria “Sadie” Perla, 97, of Fitchburg passed away peacefully on December 3, 2021.
Sadie was born in Fitchburg on July 13, 1924, a daughter of the late Luciano and Giuseppina (Pignata) DiNatale. She worked in retail at Eve’s Kitty Shop and Mary Gallo Bridal Shop. Later, Sadie was a travel coordinator with the Golden Ages for over 24 years for retired women in Fitchburg. She loved going on vacations and extensive traveling. Sadie was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her two grandsons, Rocco J. Perla and wife Leanne of Stow and Salvatore L. Perla and wife Kelley of Leominster; great grandchildren, Lucas, Ian, Dominique, and Lucien Perla; one great-great granddaughter Giavanna; sisters, Josephine Deschenes and her husband Robert and Elena Viola both of Fitchburg; daughter in law Rosa Napoli Perla of Leominster, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son John Perla in 1994 and her husband Rocco Perla in 2002. She was also predeceased by her two sisters, Concetta Imprescia and Angelina Nano.
