Roger A. (“the Ram”) Marrama, 80
Roger A. Marrama of Leominster passed away at home on June 3, 2018 at the age of 80. He is survived by his wife of fifty four years Martha (Allen) Marrama of Leominster, son Anthony Marrama of Boston, son Joseph Marrama of Yarmouth and daughter-in-law Alejandra Marrama of Yarmouth. He was preceded in death by his mother Frances (Lolli) Marrama and his father Antonio Marrama, both of Leominster.
A life-long resident of Leominster, Roger was affectionately known as “the Ram” by his friends. For much of his life he was one of Leominster’s more “snappy dressers” and was quite the man-about-town. After graduating from high school in 1956, Roger attended technical college in Worcester where he trained to be a mechanical engineer and draftsman. During his professional career he worked for a number of employers, including Morgan Construction, General Electric, Dupont and Digital. He was a skilled bocce player and competed in local leagues for many years. He enjoyed fishing with his sons when they were young and taking them to Red Sox and Celtics games, as well as family vacations in Florida. The Ram was also a long-time member of the Leominster Knights of Columbus and enjoyed socializing and solving the world’s problems with his fellow Knights in the members’ bar.
