FITCHBURG – Roderick P. Stocking, III, 67, died April 9, 2018 in his home.
A funeral will be held Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 6 p.m. in Brandon Funeral Home, Fitchburg. Calling hours are from 4-6 p.m. Burial is private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fund for Nature, Mass Audubon, 208 Great Rd., Lincoln, MA 01773.
FITCHBURG – Roderick P. Stocking, III, 67, died April 9, 2018 in his home.
He was born Feburary 19, 1951, in Fitchburg, son of Roderick P. Stocking, II and Aida E. (Niemi) Stocking. He was a 1969 graduate of Fitchburg High School and earned a degree in Accounting from Bentley University. He owned his accounting firm Tax Associates in Groton for many years.
Rod was an avid golfer and member of Westminster Country Club. He also enjoyed nature, bird watching and Finnish festivals at Saima Park.
He leaves a brother, James Stocking and wife, Paula, of NH, a sister, Jane Sunderland, and husband, Gerald, of NC, Sister in-law Debra Stocking, of Fitchburg nieces and nephews, Benjamin Stocking, Katie Stocking, Melissa Lord, Michael Sunderland, Kerry Sunderland, Daniel Stocking and several great nieces and nephews.
