The funeral will be held from Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Monday, November 14, with a Mass in St. Anthony di Padua Church at 10am. Burial will follow in St. Bernard’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 13, from 3-6 pm in the funeral home.
OBITUARY
Fitchburg – Rocco A. Pandiscio, Jr., 89, of Fitchburg, passed away on Monday, November 7 in Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester.
Rocco was born in Fitchburg on March 8, 1927, a son of the late Rocco and Eliza (Ciccone) Pandiscio. He was a graduate of Fitchburg High School, class of 1944. Rocco proudly enlisted in the US. Navy, where he served his country in the Asiatic Theater on the Philippine Island as a radio man. Prior to his retirement, Rocco worked for 33 years with the Prudential Insurance Company. He was a parishioner of Saint Anthony di Padua Church.
Rocco loved to play bocce, golf, and poker with the guys. He was an avid and loyal New York Yankees fan. Family was very important to Rocco, he treasured his time spent with his grandchildren.
He leaves his wife of 69 years, Stella (Piccicuto) Pandiscio; children, Gary Pandiscio of Gardner, Stephanie Pandiscio of Athol, and Christopher Pandiscio and his wife Melissa of Leominster; grandchildren, Jason Vaillancourt of Athol, Benjamin Earley of Worcester, Allie Pandiscio of Leominster, and Rocco Pandiscio of Leominster; great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Kennedy, and Giana Vaillancourt, and Drea Earley; brother, Louis Pandiscio of Fitchburg; many nieces and nephews.
Rocco was predeceased by his siblings, David, Anthony, Dr. Robert, and Vincent Pandiscio, Yolanda Smith and Nicolina Upton.
