Robert “Bob” A. Seguin, age 74, and a resident of Fitchburg, MA, passed away on May 18, 2023. He is
the loving husband of Judith (Wagner) Seguin.
Bob was born on July 26, 1948, to the late J Rene and Bertha (Fredette) Seguin in Fitchburg, MA. He is
predeceased by his parents J Rene Seguin and Bertha (Fredette) Seguin, his brothers, Richard and David
Seguin. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Judith (Wagner) Seguin, his children Kara and her
husband, Jim St. Cyr, Becky and her husband Mike Pease, Rob and his wife Kristina Seguin. He has 5
grandchildren who he loved dearly, Tyler and Alyssa St. Cyr, Maryanne and Amelia Pease, and Andrew
Seguin. Bob also leaves his sister, Judith Haseltine and her husband Joe of Brookfield, MA, brothers, Paul
Seguin and his wife Nancy from Florida, Dan Seguin and his wife Laurie from Amherst, NH, and Ken
Seguin, Shirley, MA. He also leaves two sisters-in-law, Nancy Seguin and Diane Seguin, many nieces,
nephews, and cousins. He will be missed by all who know him.
He was a lifelong resident of Fitchburg and grew up with his 5 brothers and one sister. As you can
imagine, there are too many good stories to share of their childhood adventures, but any of them would
be happy to share with you. He went to Fitchburg High School (class of ’66) where he ran track and then
to Fitchburg State University where he met his wife, Judi and graduated in 1970. They married and Bob
built their home in Fitchburg, where Judi still resides.
Bob started his career teaching woodworking students in Gardner and then Leominster. He decided to
follow his passion of woodworking and began a new career as a Woodworking Supervisor at Triangle
Pacific, a kitchen cabinet company for 6 years. He then moved on to a position at Bose Corporation as a
manufacturing engineer and spent over 30 years working for them.
Bob was an Eagle Scout and continued his support of the Boy Scouts of America throughout his life and
was also active in the Alumni Association at Fitchburg State University. He loved to golf, watch old
westerns, and was a huge fan of all Boston Sports.
Anyone who knows Bob, knows his love for his family, friends, and anyone he met. It didn’t matter if he
knew you for a lifetime or just met you that day, he would give you the shirt off his back if he could.
Traditions and family were very important to Bob. From organizing summer camping trips with the
entire Seguin family every summer to Holiday parties he ensured that everyone had a good time and was the life of the party. He was always there to help a friend when they needed something built or repaired.
Bob loved his grandchildren more than anything else in this world. Tyler, Alyssa, Maryanne, Andrew and
Amelia were lucky to have him and they have lasting memories of a “Bubba” who loved them more than
life itself.
Bob may have been the shortest family member at 6’, but was the tallest in love, empathy and will
continue to be a beacon of light shining down on all of us.
Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Bob for a period of visitation on Wednesday, May
31, 2023, at Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd. Fitchburg, MA, from 4:00PM until 8:00PM. In
