Burial with military honors will be held at the MA Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallan St., Winchendon on Friday, November 24, at 11:00am. Brandon Funeral Home, Fitchburg is assisting the family.
OBITUARY
Fitchburg – Robert Boivin, 78, of Fitchburg, passed away on November 10, 2017 in UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.
Robert was born in Fitchburg on March 17, 1939, a son of the late Henry and Rita (Gomond) Boivin. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1961 and proudly served his country until his honorable discharge in 1963. Robert was a member of the American Legion Post 429 as well as the St. Joes Club. Robert spent his career as a Millwright. He loved to hunt and fish. Robert was an avid pool player and enjoyed teaching those around him how to play.
He leaves his daughter Lisa Boivin and her fiancé Jason Blankenship; his sister Jay Mancuso and husband Mike; many nieces and nephews.
Robert was predeceased by his wife Pauline (Bergeron) Boivin in 2009.
