Richard T. Tisdale passed away on January 22nd, 2024. Born on February 23rd, 1943 in Leominster, Massachusetts, Richard leaves his loving wife of 51 years, Eileen (Mina) Tisdale of Leominster MA, a son Derek Tisdale of Worcester, MA, and a daughter, Heidi Doyle of Lancaster, MA, 3 grandchildren, 7 great- grandchildren, and several nephews He also leaves a sister, Janice Horgan of CA, a sister Judith McNamara of Leominster MA and a brother David Tisdale of CA. Richard is predeceased by his parents Alfred Tisdale and Lillian (Gariepy) Tisdale of Leominster MA, and a brother Daniel Tisdale of Leominster MA.
Richard began his career at Electric Boat in Groton Conn as a Mechanical Engineer and retied from American Tool and Machine in Leominster in 1994.
Richard was a blend of self taught talent and a jack of all trades. In his spare time he loved fishing, hunting, and motorcycle riding. Richard cherished time spent with his family and a circle of lifelong special people and many friends.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Summit Elder Care of Leominster MA for all the love and care they gave to Richard.
The funeral will be held on Monday at 11AM, January 29, 2024 at Holy Family of Nazareth Church in Leominster after a prayer service at 10:15am at the Branden Funeral Home in Fitchburg MA. Calling hours are Sunday, January 28th, 2024 at the Brandon Funeral Home, Fitchburg MA from 2-4pm. Burial will be private on another date.
In leu of flowers, contributions may be made to the UMass Cancer Research, Worcester, MA.
