The funeral will be held from the Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg with a Mass being celebrated at 11:00 am, Friday, August 5th at St. Francis Church, 81 Sheridan St., Fitchburg. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 9:00 -10:30 at the funeral home prior to the mass.

Fitchburg- Richard C. Stevenson, 87 passed on Monday, August 1 at River Terrace Healthcare Center in Lancaster.
Mr. Stevenson was born in Gardner on September 12, 1928 a son of the late George and Letitia (Wing) Stevenson and had resided in Fitchburg for many years in the house that he built with his own hands.
Richard is survived by the love of his life for 66 years Lorraine E. (Rouisse) Stevenson, three daughters and sons in law, Carrol L. Stevenson – LeBlanc and her husband Richard of Fitchburg, Valerie M. Luft of Fitchburg, Lori A. Rosenbayger and her husband Randy of Fitchburg, four grandchildren, Faith A. Stevenson-Leblanc, Amanda Erin Luft, Richard Charles Rosenbayger, Mark A. Rosenbayger and two great grandchildren, Christopher and Charlotte. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother Donald Stevenson and his sister, Eleanor Taylor.
Mr. Stevenson was employed for many years at Rocheleau Tool and Dye in Fitchburg.
He was a former member of the Leominster Sportsman Club.
Richard was an avid skier, motorcycle enthusiast, and Animal lover. He enjoyed boating, golfing and woodworking. But above all the true passion of his life was the love for his family.
