Ashburnham- Richard “Dick” Pucko, 86 of Ashburnham passed away at HealthAlliance Leominster Hospital after a short illness.

Dick was born in Clinton on June 14, 1929, a son of the late Michael and Mary (Starr) Pucko.

Dick leaves his wife Dorothy, the love of his wife. He also leaves several children, Michael and his wife Paula, Debbie and her husband John, Philip and his wife Laural, Charles and his wife Paivi, twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren whom he loved spending time with.

He was a construction supervisor for L. Russo Construction in Fitchburg for many years until the time of his retirement.

He served in the US Army in Army Security during the Korean War and at Arlington Hall in Washington D.C. He was a member of the Eastwood Club in Fitchburg and the American Legion Post # 273 in Florida.

Dick spent winters in Florida and summers in Ashburnham. He enjoyed the tranquility of the lake. He took great pride in his garden and was an avid sportsman and loved watching the Red Sox and Patriots.

Dick was kind, loving, generous and always took time for his family.

Funeral services will be private.

The family request in Dick’s memory memorial contributions be made to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
