Richard N. Roiko

Friends and family may pay their respects on Thursday August 4th from 5-7pm at the Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd, Fitchburg.  A private family burial will be held on Friday, August 5th.   For those who wish may make donations please contribute to the American Cancer Society at 38 Chauncy Street Boston MA in Dick’s name.

Leominster – Richard “Dick” Neil Roiko, 81, loving husband of Judith (Beals), died Friday, July 29, 2022 after a short illness.  He was born October 9, 1940 in Fitchburg MA, the child of William and Helga (Tuominen) Roiko.

Dick was a lifelong resident of Fitchburg and Leominster.  He was employed at Warren Communications and Bemis Associates.  He was an avid sports fan, especially following his beloved Red Sox and automobile racing of all types.  He was loved by all as a friendly, funny and compassionate father, co-worker and friend.

Along with his wife of 20 years, Dick is survived by one daughter Lynn and 4 stepchildren – Tina Sontag and her husband Andy of West Boylston, Tammy Carmichael and her husband Dennis of Gardner, Richie King and his husband Luis of Fort Lauderdale FL and the late Peggy Calvillo and her husband Javier and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He is also survived by his sister Arlene Tilton and her husband Art of Boylston.   He is predeceased by his son Gary who passed away in 2012.
