OBITUARY Ashby – Richard C. Bennett, 72, of Ashby, passed away on February 28, 2017 in the Vibra Hospital in Leicester after an illness. Richard was born in Fitchburg on October 16, 1944, a son of the late Charles and Rena (Bennett) Bennett. He worked as an automotive mechanic for many years until his retirement. He leaves his daughter Charlene DeMartino and her husband Louis; his son Richard A. Bennett, all of Ashby; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren; siblings, Carol A. Lielasus of Ashby, Steven W. Bennett and his wife Darleen of Ashburnham. Richard was predeceased by his wife Sharron (Haavisto) Bennett in 2008 and his daughter Tracey Leigh Bennett in 2007.
