She was a woman of many virtues, her generosity and loving spirit being the most pronounced. A compassionate soul with an infectious smile and hearty laugh, her thoughtful nature made her a cherished friend and neighbor, and who will be profoundly missed by all those who had the fortune of knowing her.
Regina was a resolute business owner of Caron’s Flea Market – that was a community landmark. Her generous spirit extended beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of countless people who visited her store. Regina had the rare ability to transform mundane objects into treasured keepsakes and useful necessities. Her shop was more than just a business, it was a comfortable presence where memories were made. Regina was predeceased by her beloved husband of 67 years, Joseph Roland Laurent Caron who passed February 25, 2020 at age 91. She leaves behind her children, Kenneth Caron, Cynthia Palmi, Catherine Lanigan, Christopher Caron, Charles Caron, Craig Caron, ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, who were the light of her life and her greatest pride along with many nieces and nephews. Sister of the late Raymond J. Mathieu of Fitchburg (1987), Paul W. Mathieu of Auburn (1990), Francis R. Mathieu (2016) and Therese R. Marzullo of Florida (2019). She leaves a brother David H. Mathieu of Townsend and three sisters; Marguerite M. Bolduc of Leominster, Helen C. Perkins and Pauline C. Shaw of Fitchburg.
Though her physical presence will be missed, Regina's spirit continues to live on in the countless lives she touched.
