Obituary – Rebecca Jane (Rowe) Pandiscio, 61, of Westminster, passed away on November 17, 2017 in Leominster Hospital. Rebecca was born in Fitchburg on July 3, 1956, a daughter of the late Llewellyn M. Rowe, Jr., and Dorothy (Varney). She graduated from Fitchburg High School and later from Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia. She received her Master’s Degree in Art and a Director of Fine Arts Certificate from Fitchburg State College. For nearly 30 years Rebecca was an Art Teacher in the Leominster School System, most recently at the High School. Mrs. P, as she was fondly called, was greatly loved by her students. Rebecca so enjoyed sitting with her students, critiquing their artwork and encouraging improvement. Her art colleagues were special to her and they spent many hours together devising new lessons for their students. Aside from the Arts, Rebecca’s passions in life were her family and her beloved pets. She loved to sit on the beach with friends. She was a lifelong parishioner and choir member of the Rollstone Congregational Church in Fitchburg. She served on many committees at the church. Rebecca was also a longtime member of Camp Wellville, Inc. where she also served on the Board of Directors. She spent many hours volunteering at the camp most notably as a supervisor and swimming instructor for the Day Camp program for children. She was a member of the Massachusetts Teachers Association and the Leominster Teacher’s Association as well as the Fitchburg Art Museum. She leaves her husband Mark Pandiscio of Westminster, her daughter, Hannah Pandiscio of South Carolina, her sister Kathleen Rowe and her husband David St. Cyr of Ashburnham, and her sister-in-law Gail Lambie of England as well as many extended family members and friends.
