The funeral will be held in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Monday, July 13, at 11:00. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, July 12, from 3-5pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made at woundedwarriorproject.org/donate.



OBITUARY Fitchburg – Raymond P. “Ray” Pawelski, of Fitchburg, passed away Thursday, July 09, 2015 in Leominster Hospital. Ray was born in Fitchburg, a son of the late Paul and Ruth (Anderson) Pawelski. He attended Fitchburg High School and later served in the Army National Guard. Ray worked for many years for Weyerhauser, James River Central Steam Plant, and Crocker Tech/FiberMarc as a Power Plant Engineer. He also worked for Health Alliance as a boiler operator. Ray belonged to the American Legion and the Eastwood Club. He enjoyed classic cars and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. Ray was a kind man who always had a love of animals. He loved his yearly trips to Rye Beach in New Hampshire with his family. Ray leaves his wife of 39 years, Elizabeth (Aho) Pawelski of Fitchburg; his children, Judith Aunio and her husband Kauko of Leominster, Stephen Pawelski and his wife Cynthia of Westminster, Michael Pawelski and his wife Denise of Fitchburg, and Susan Maxfield and her husband Thomas of Lancaster; ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren and one on the way. He also leaves two sisters in law, Nancy and Phyllis Pawelski, both of Fitchburg and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his two brothers, Leonard and Barry Pawelski.
