Raymond E. Bouvier

August 14, 1952 — October 11, 2024

Leominster

Raymond (Bo) Ernest Bouvier of Leominster MA, 72 years old, passed the morning of October 11th, 2024 in Leominster, MA after a stroke and cancer diagnosis in July.

He was born on August 14th, 1952 to parents Raymond F and Pauline E (Eisner) Bouvier in Leominster, MA, and spent most of his life in Leominster and surrounding towns.

He worked as a machinist and was mechanically inclined, often building custom toys for his kids, including a much too powerful minibike! Weekends when his kids were young were spent exploring Mount Wachusett, swimming at his parent's pool in Pembroke, visiting local orchards and Purgatory Chasm, allowing his kids to stay up late with movies and snacks, and building tree forts. He could play a song by ear on guitar or keyboard, and the Beatles and Frank Zappa were always in the background.

He enjoyed building computers, getting together with family, and at one point set up a home brewery in the basement. He had the good sense to retire a bit early, and found a new level of peace and happiness, regularly meeting friends for lunch, playing bocci ball, and gardening in his backyard bordering Lincoln Woods. He loved animals, particularly his granddogs over the years.

Even though he wasn't completely himself towards the end, his most endearing traits remained, remembering to tell his kids he loved them at every visit, and gently playing with his one year old grandkids. He will be especially missed by his son Aaron Bouvier and his wife Linda Passias and their son Ezra, daughter and granddaughter Serena and Svala Bouvier, sister Gail Brown, and nephews Noah and Nick Brown.

Ray was kind, generous, and loved his family. We are crushed that he will not be here to delight in this happy phase of our lives, but will carry him in our spirits each time we put on flannels to play with our kids in the woods, have a dipped soft serve, see L.L Bean moccasins, or hear any number of songs that bring him to mind.

Instead of a traditional service, we will be meeting at the base of Mount Wachusett, 345 Mountain Rd, Princeton, MA on Saturday November 2nd at 1:00 pm. Close friends and family are invited to O'Connors Restaurant & Bar in Worcester afterwards to celebrate his life and the impact he left on those he loved.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the NH SPCA in Stratham NH.
