Pauline Ann Roger, 92, of Ashburnham, passed away on March 3, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.
Pauline was born in Fitchburg on November 9, 1931, the daughter of the late Arthur and Eva Caron. Pauline and her loving husband Paul were the owners of Roger's Hardware Store, in Ashburnham for many years. They were friendly, kind and always there to help those in need. Pauline will always be remembered for her quick wit, humor, and positive outlook on life. She loved reading, puzzles, and beating her family at cribbage and Yahtzee. She loved traveling and cats, especially Jasmine.
She was a remarkable loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is survived by seven children, David Roger and wife Marcia of Westminster; Steven Roger of Winchendon; Kenneth Roger and wife Jill of Harwich Port, MA; Daniel Roger and wife Kim of Savannah, Georgia; Karen Gravel of Gardner; James Roger and wife Heather of New Harbor, Maine; Amy LeBlanc and husband Kenneth of Westminster; and Dennis Bozza (daughter Nancy’s fiancée) of Gardner; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Phyllis Boudreau and brother Norman “Sonny” Caron and his wife Mary as well as many nieces and nephews.
Pauline was predeceased by her husband Paul F. Roger, daughter Nancy Bolk, brother Richard Caron as well as her daughter-in-law Lee Forrest Roger.
Her family would like to express their love and gratitude to Pauline’s caregiver, Deborah Adam, for her kind and compassionate care over the last year.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to The Gordon E. Erickson Memorial Fire/Rescue Foundation, 99 Central St. Ashburnham, MA 01430.
Calling hours will be held in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg on Friday, March 15, 2024 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Pauline's funeral mass will be held on Saturday, March 16. 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Denis Church, 85 Main St, Ashburnham, MA. Burial will follow in Saint Denis Cemetery, Ashburnham, MA.
