A prayer service will be held in the Pieta Chapel at Saint Joseph Cemetery, 486 Clarendon St., Fitchburg at 11:30am on Thursday, April 13. Brandon Funeral Home, 17 Main St., Ashburnham is directing arrangements.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
OBITUARY
Ashburnham – Paul N. Pucko, formerly of Fitchburg and Westminster, passed away on Sunday, April 9, at Heywood Hospital after a long battle with cancer.
Paul was born in Lunenburg, MA on June 25, 1935, a son of the late Martin and Boleslawa (Kawalczyk) Pucko. He grew up in Fitchburg and was a graduate of Fitchburg High School, class of 1953. Paul enlisted in the U.S. Army and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army with the 307th Engineers in the 82nd Airborne Division.
He worked for Crocker, Weyerhauser, James River Paper Company until they closed; and worked for Munskjo Paper until his retirement. Paul loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter.
Paul leaves his wife of 60 years, Lucille (Cormier) Pucko; his twin sister Pauline “Polly” and her husband Bob Farineau of Ocala, FL; his three sons, Robert Pucko and his wife Michele of Fitchburg, Steven Pucko of Phillipston, Michael Pucko and wife Lori of Gardner; his two daughters, Janice Pucko of Ore Valley, AZ and Jackie Osolin and husband Steve of Ashburnham; nine grandchildren, Jason White of Northwood, NH, Christopher Pucko and wife Erin of Ashby, Matthew Pucko of Gardner, Justin and Austin Pucko of Phillipston, Cassandra Iosua and her husband Chris of Templeton, Sarah Osolin and her husband Adam Choi of San Francisco, CA, Samantha Walsh and husband Alex of Leominster, Monica Pucko of Gardner; five great-grandchildren, Liam and Henry Pucko of Ashby, Jackson, Madelyn, and Eli Iosua of Templeton; nieces, nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews; sisters and brothers in law, Ray and Elaine Guenette of Tucson, AZ, Paul and Pauline Cormier of Irno, SC, Albert and Rita Pierce of Fitchburg, and Elaine Cormier of Fitchburg.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Stanley, Henry, Eddie, Martin and John, and his sister Mary Moore.
