The funeral will be held in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg, on Monday, August 7, at 7pm. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 6-7pm.
Fitchburg – Paul “Bossman” Ledger, 67, of Fitchburg, passed away Wednesday, July 26, in his home.
He was born in Fitchburg on September 23, 1949, a son of the late Edward and Priscilla (Melanson) Ledger. Paul was a graduate of Saint Bernard’s High School with the class of 1967, where he starred on the football team, coached by his late father, Edward.
Paul went to Daytona, FL for umpire school and graduated in 1973. He worked locally as an umpire for over 30 years. Paul was a fan of all sports and a member of the South End Social Club. Paul used his vast knowledge of antiques for a living for over 40 years.
He leaves his wife of 36 years Donna (DeBarge) Ledger of Fitchburg; a son, Drew Ledger of Fitchburg; two brothers, William Ledger of VT, and Ralph Ledger of Fitchburg, Butch Melanson of Lowell, as well as Dottie Ledger of Fitchburg.
Paul was predeceased by his brother Kenneth Ledger of Rhode Island.
