Fitchburg – Patricia A. Zarrella, 67, of Fitchburg passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 24 in her home. Patricia was born in Fitchburg on September 26, 1947, the daughter of the late Pasquale and Josephine (DiBiase) Zarrella. She was the oldest of 28 grandchildren, graduating from Fitchburg High in 1965 and was very proud to attend Stevens Business College. After working several years in California, she returned to the Boston area and spent her career working as an investment and benefits specialist.
Pat had a deep love for her extended family; not only the many Zarrellas and Di Biases but also her network of friends which spanned the globe. Pat’s sweet and gentle spirit was loved by everybody. She had a great appreciation for the beauty of nature and always “took time to smell the roses”. She enjoyed gardening and had a keen eye for interior decorating and also enjoyed traveling to Maine and California to spend time with her brothers and their families. One of her greatest joys was collecting photos and stories of her family’s history and hosting large family gatherings at her home.
She is survived by brother John and his wife Wendy, brother Tony and his girlfriend Nicole, nephew Guido and his wife Jenni, niece Katrina and her husband Paul and their son Wyatt, nephew Rick and his wife Jaclyn, nephew Rob, niece Kate, many aunts, uncles and cousins.
