Calling hours will be held in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Monday, September 19, from 6-8pm. Olivia’s funeral will be celebrated in the Crossroads Community Church, 839 Ashby State Road., Fitchburg on Tuesday, September 20 at 11:00am. Burial will follow in the MA Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon
Olivia (Snowden) Myles, 81 passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2016 in Leominster Hospital.
Olivia was born in Delight, AR on December 10, 1934 the daughter of the late Goy Jett Hilery and Gertrude (Jones) Snowden. For many years, Olivia worked as a shipper and packer for the former General Electric Co in
Fitchburg.
She was very active at the Crossroads Community Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher. Olivia was a wonderful and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved photography and always treasured her family photos. She enjoyed collecting porcelain dolls and shopping.
She leaves her husband of 52 years, James Myles of Fitchburg, her son and daughter-in-law Leotis and Mary Louise Snowden, two grandchildren Mary and Amanda Snowden of AR; Sisters: Dorothy Meeks, Alfrita (Eddie) Brown of SC, Rose (Willie) Oliver, Ethel and Sandra Snowden of MA. Brothers: Samuel (Ozella) Snowden, Cota (Maria) Snowden, John (Donna) Snowden, James (Margie) Snowden, Lawrence Snowden, Roy (Monica) Snowden; Sister-in-law: Janice Snowden and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends
Olivia was predeceased by her sister Evelyn Fricks, brother Leonard Snowden, and granddaughter Carole Snowden.
