Norman A. Loiselle

June 20, 1930 — March 21, 2017

The funeral will be held on Monday, March 27, at St. Cecilia’s Church, 180 Mechanic St in Leominster at 10am. Visiting hours will be Sunday, March 26, at Brandon Funeral Home 305 Wanoosnoc Rd. Fitchburg from 2-5pm. in Fitchburg. Burial will follow the funeral in St. Cecilia’s cemetery in Leominster.



Norman Alphonse Loiselle, 86, of Leominster, passed away March 21, 2017 after battling an illness.

Norman was born in Leominster on June 20, 1930 to Bernard and Jeannette Loiselle. He graduated from St. Bernard’s High School and went to Teacher’s College (now Fitchburg University) for Industrial Arts. He served in U.S. Navy Reserves. Norman married Laurette Rose Hebert on October 20, 1951 and celebrated 65 years together until his passing.

Norman was a QC lab technician in the paper industry working for Weyerhaeuser, Meade, James River and retiring from Georgia Pacific. Norman was President of Council 93 L’ Union St. Jean Baptiste/CFLI for over 20 years. He was a Eucharistic Minister with the Catholic Church. He was a gifted model boat and plane maker, painter, and builder. He enjoyed dancing, golfing, sailing, the ocean, bocce and his family. He valued education and all his grandchildren have or/will graduate from many prestigious colleges.

Norman is survived by his wife Laurette Loiselle, daughter Claudette Tata and her husband Robert, sons John Loiselle and Joseph Loiselle, and 9 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his son Stephen Loiselle and daughter Michelle Loiselle Brosseau.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Leominster Hospital for their extra special care of Norman during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org in remembrance of Norman Loiselle.
