A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 Tuesday, October 10 in St. Cecilia’s Church, 170 Mechanic St., Leominster. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Calling hours are from 9:00- 10:30 Tuesday morning prior to the Mass at the Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg.
Fitchburg- Noemi “Amy” M. (Bisol) Fontaine, passed away Friday, October 6 at the Health Alliance Leominster Hospital.
She was born in Leominster on February 11, 1923 a daughter of the late Luigi and Giovannia (Baggio) Bisol.
She enjoyed sewing, cooking and especially gardening, for which she had a special talent and gorgeous gardens.
She was a devout Catholic and her trust and devotion to God were unequal.
Mrs. Fontaine worked at the former Foster Grant Co., and was a housekeeper for Joseph A. Foster. She was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne.
She is survived by her sons: Charles (Kathy) Fontaine of Calabash, NC, Paul (Diane) Fontaine of Fitchburg, Andre (Michele) Fontaine of Hudson, NH, her brother, Alfred (Florina) Bisol of Princeton, many nieces and nephews especially Renee Place, whom she was particularly close to. Four grandchildren, Christopher Fontaine, Nicole(Fontaine) Daly, Nicolas Fontaine and Paul Fontaine Jr., six great grandchildren, Ellie Daly, Lauren Fontaine, Julia Daly, Alexander Fontaine, Helena Fontaine and Gabriel Fontaine.
She also leaves her friends at Brooks Pond in Leominster who helped her live her independent life.
She was predeceased by her husband Charles E. Fontaine and her daughter Susan J. Fontaine: and brothers, Gene (Geraldine) Bisol, Charles (Jewel) Bisol, Joseph (Rita) Bisol and sisters, Ine Bisol, Janie Bisol, Virginia Lambert and twin sisters, Sister Angela Bisol, SND and Sister Adelaide Bisol, SND.
