Nancy Ann Dube, whose smile could light up a room and laughter was contagious, passed away on June 18, 2023, just a few months after celebrating her 83rd birthday. Born on March 6, 1940, in Gardner, Massachusetts, to Jeffrey and Rose Dube, Nancy later relocated to Fitchburg, where she spent the majority of her life. Throughout her years, Nancy was known for her lively spirit, quick wit, and the ability to make friends wherever she went.
As a paralegal, Nancy spent her days assisting attorneys and clients at a law office in Fitchburg, where her attention to detail and ability to empathize with others made her an indispensable member of the team. She retired in 1987, after a fulfilling career that allowed her to impact the lives of many. In her retirement, Nancy continued to advocate for justice and fairness, whether it be in her community or on a broader level.
Nancy's knack for storytelling and her unforgettable sense of humor will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was a loving mother, sister, and friend who made it her mission to bring positivity and laughter into the lives of others. Nancy found joy in life's simple pleasures, such as gardening, baking her famous chocolate chip cookies, and cheering on her favorite sports teams.
Nancy is survived by her daughter, Lisa Laperle, and her sister, Linda Dube. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeffrey and Rose Dube. It is evident that Nancy's vivacious spirit and zest for life will continue to live on through the many lives she touched and the memories she leaves behind.
In celebration of Nancy's life, we encourage you to leave your favorite memories and upload photos of her on the memorial page. Let us remember the laughter, joy, and love that Nancy Dube brought into our lives.
