The wake will be held on Friday, April 15 from 4-6PM at Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd. Fitchburg, MA. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 16 from 9-12PM also at Brandon Funeral followed by cremation service in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Nadee Keovongsa, a woman whose life revolved around her family and Buddhist community. She passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, April 8, 2022, surrounded by her loving husband, children, grandchildren, and friends.
Nadee also known to many as “Mae Thain”, was born on July 12, 1951, in Savannakhet, Lao. The Daughter of the late Thong and Phou Vongsouthep, the third oldest out of eight children. As a Lao refugee, she relocated to Seattle, Washington in 1979 and married the love of her life, Sangat Keovongsa, in Kennewick, Washington. Her and husband of 42 years relocated and raised their family in Fitchburg, Massachusetts since 1986. She was a small and mighty hard-working Machine Operator for Teleflex Medical in Jaffrey, NH. She loved meditating with her friends and community at the Wat Lao Dhammaraam of Fitchburg, MA, as well as, making merit at all the Lao Temples wherever she traveled. She embodied values that she instilled in her children, of providing a warm and loving home, hard work and family first.
She is survived by her husband, Sangat Keovongsa, her two daughters, Latsamy Krom and Darling Keovongsa, (respectively) two sons-in-Law, Chhaly Krom and Ramir Landon, and 5 grandchildren, Shayne Krom, Jesse Krom, Tyler Krom, Bella Krom, and Ronin Landon.
She also leaves behind her oldest sister, Khamphong Khammixay, one younger sister, Khamta Bounsong, two younger brothers, Paul and Khamsa Vongsouthep, and (respectively) two sisters-in-Law, Vongdeuan and Soulang Vongsouthep.
