Michelle L. Henderson

Michelle Laurie (Girouard) Henderson, known affectionately as "Me-Me," passed away on March 11, 2024 at the age of 52, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and life lived fully. Born on November 12, 1971, in Fitchburg, MA, Michelle was an adventurous spirit, known for her creative approach to life, her contagious laughter, and her magnetic personality that drew people near. She was also known as "The Brat" by her Pops.

Her love for the outdoors was evident in her career in landscaping, a profession she passionately pursued even when she was not working. Her passion extended to her hobbies, which included fishing, yard work, cooking, a passion for children and spending time with her beloved animals. Her adventurous nature led her to explore beyond Fitchburg; she lived in Worcester for a time and had a fondness for visiting P-Town. Yet, no matter where she journeyed, she always returned to the town she called home, drawn by the family and friends that mattered most to her.

Michelle was an individual like no other, her unique spirit and funny demeanor brought joy to everyone around her. She is survived by her parents, Laurie and Louise Girouard; her siblings, Tina Huntoon, Bob Lucas and Tanya Vedoe; brother-in-law, John Huntoon; her niece Virginia Tedesco, and nephew Johnny Huntoon; and great-nieces, Violet and Ruby Tedesco. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Virginia Crepeau.

Michelle will always be remembered as a beacon of laughter, creativity, and adventurous spirit. Her memory will live on in the gardens she tended, the animals she cared for, and in the hearts of all those she touched.
