LEOMINSTER – Michael R. Krysiak, 59, passed away peacefully from cancer on Saturday, January 30, 2015 surrounded by his family.

Michael was born in Fitchburg on April 19, 1956, the son of Theofil and Helen (Jaksina) Krysiak. He lived in Fitchburg and Winchendon in recent years. He was a 1974 graduate of St. Bernard’s Central Catholic High School. He worked at Wachusett Chips Co., the family business, for many years.

Michael was an active member of St. Leo’s Church where he served as an usher for many years. He enjoyed golfing in his earlier years with a group of friends and younger relatives. He golfed at Maplewood, Grandview and played in tournaments at Oak Hill Country Club. He also volunteered for the Salvation Army and West Winds Club. He was a great fan of Boston sports.

He was extremely close with his younger brother, Robbie, who later devoted countless hours and miles to accompany Michael on his appointments and hospitalizations.

Michael leaves his brothers, Edward Krysiak and his wife, Barbara, of Leominster, Thomas Krysiak and his wife, Patricia, of Lunenburg and Robbie Krysiak of Gardner; his devoted sister, Diane Krysiak of Leominster and his sister-in-law, Kathleen Krysiak of Leominster and several grandnephews and grandnieces. Michael was predeceased by his brother, John Krysiak and his sister, Jane Vaden.
