Meghan A. Larkin Mcphillips-Jones

The funeral Mass will be held in Saint Denis Church, 85 Main Street in Ashburnham on Tuesday, April 4 at 11:00am. Burial will be held privately at a later date. Calling hours will be held in Brandon Funeral Home, 17 Main Street in Ashburnham on Monday, April 3, from 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005.



Fitchburg – Meghan A. (McPhillips-Jones) Larkin, 30, of Fitchburg, formerly of Ashburnham, passed away on March 26, 2017.

Meghan was born in Waltham on June 6, 1986, the daughter of John Jones and Carol McPhillips-Jones. She graduated from Oakmont High School, and later from Fitchburg State College with her Bachelor’s Degree of Science in English and Professional Writing. She was currently completing her Master’s Degree in English Literature. She belonged to the Sorority Phi Sigma Sigma, where she formed great relationships with her fellow Sisters. Meghan was a member of the International English Honors Society Sigma Tau Delta. Meghan was working in retail in the local area, and had previously worked at the Lunenburg Ledger as a Writer. In her spare time she enjoyed snowboarding and playing video games. Meghan was an herbalist who loved to make her own natural soaps and lotions. She enjoyed cooking for friends and family, and will be remembered for her love of animals, especially her cats. Meghan leaves her husband Steven Larkin of Fitchburg; her parents, John Jones and Carol McPhillips-Jones of Ashburnham; mother in law, Mary Perreault; father in law, John Larkin; brothers in law, Daniel Larkin and Kevin Larkin; sister in law, Michelle Larkin; nieces, Samantha and Emily Larkin; many extended family members including aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is also survived by many close friends, colleagues, and associates.
