Calling hours will be held in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Saturday, March 25, from 4-6pm. A service will begin at 6pm. Burial will be held privately at a later date.
Leominster – Mary C. (Petricca) Perla, 100, of Leominster, passed away on March 14, 2017 in Leominster Hospital.
Mary was born in Leominster on December 3, 1916, a daughter of the late Joseph and Lucy (Vendetti) Petricca. For over 25 years Mary worked for Foster Grant until her retirement. She loved making puzzles, reading, and especially crocheting. She was a wonderful cook, and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
She leaves her children, Richard “Starchy” Perla and his wife Linda of Leominster, Marlene Duffy and her husband Al of Townsend; grandchildren, Deane Perla and wife Stephanie, Christine Perla-Cloukey, wife of the late “Butch” Cloukey; great grandchildren, Benjamin and Molly Perla; sister, Julie Tourigney of Leominster, and many nieces and nephews.
Mary was predeceased by her husband Emidio “Starchy” Perla in 1981; her brothers Dominic and Frank Petricca; her sisters, Nina Pisano, Phil Carolis, Theresa Rossi, Eleanor Petricca, Vera Petricca, and Virginia Petricca.
The Perla and Duffy family would like to thank Mary’s caregivers, who have brought such joy and happiness to Mary’s life, during the last five years with their complete dedication. We are eternally grateful for their hard work and devotion to Mary.
