Marjorie A (Holden) Leach passed away peacefully on October 28, 2024, in her lifelong hometown of Lancaster, Massachusetts. Born to Ivan and Marjorie Holden, Marjorie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose warmth, strength, and kindness touched the lives of many. Marjorie is survived by her devoted husband, Robert Leach Sr., with whom she shared 58 years of marriage, her daughter Amy Leach Egeland, her son Robert Leach Jr. and his wife Deanna who carry forward her legacy of kindness and resilience. Marjorie’s memory lives on in her six cherished grandchildren Stephen Egeland, David Egeland Jr., Elizabeth Egeland and her partner Joesph Poirer, Rodney Leach and his wife Rebecca, Callie Leach and her fiancé Nicholas Tambolleo, Timothy Leach and his wife Casey and four great-grandchildren, each of whom she adored and loved so very much. She is also survived by her four sisters, Polly Aho, Susan Babineau, Ellen Santangelo and her husband Jack, Sally Conklin and her husband Anthony and her brother Ernest Holden. Countless nieces and nephews who knew her as a loving aunt and a son in law David Egeland, Sr who preceded her. Throughout her life, Marjorie was known for her boundless energy, generosity, and faith. She worked for many years at Bolton Orchards and later became the fun bus driver delighting children with her warmth and humor in her hometown of Lancaster. Together with her husband she managed their business, Leach Heavy Equipment Repair, for over 40 years. She most recently was a driver for adult special needs students for whom she adored. Marjorie was deeply involved in her church, the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Leominster, where her faith shone brightly. She will be remembered fondly for her joyful presence in the congregation and for her love of playing the piano, filling the church and her home with music that touched the hearts of many. She enjoyed sewing, making multiple quilts, loved all animals, gardening and often distributed flowers and ministry bookmarks with her sisters, sharing her faith and kindness in small but meaningful ways. Marjorie even had her pilot’s license for a time which was an accomplishment that she loved. Her family would joke that the skies might never be the same after she took to the air. A service to honor Marjorie’s life will be held Wednesday, November 6th at The Seventh Day Adventist Church 445 Union Street in Leominster at 11 am. Marjorie (Holden) Leach will forever remain in our hearts as a beacon of love, grace, and strength. May she rest in peace.
