The funeral will be held from Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Friday, April 10, with a Mass in Holy Family of Nazareth Church, at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Calling hours will be on Thursday, April 9, from 4-7 pm.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472
Leominster- Marie “Jeanne” (Ingalls) Cote, 74, passed away Monday, April 6, 2015 after a lengthy battle with cancer and Alzheimer’s disease.
Jeanne was born on February 16, 1941 in Leominster, the daughter of the late Wendell and Loretta (Dufresne) Ingalls. She served as a Postulant at the Sacred Heart Convent in Putnam, CT, and went on to teach third grade for several years at Saint Cecilia’s School in Leominster. Jeanne took great pride in raising her family while she continued her involvement with teaching. She was a member of both Saint Cecilia’s Church and Holy Family of Nazareth Church, where she taught CCD for many years.
Jeanne truly enjoyed golfing and was a long time member of Oak Hill Country Club. Jeanne studied oil and portrait painting under Richard Whitney of New Hampshire. She was a past member of the Leominster Art Association where she displayed her talents in portrait and oil paintings. Jeanne was enthusiastic about sports and games of all sorts, especially playing cards with her brothers. She enjoyed wintering in Florida with her husband. Jeanne could always be found with a smile on her face and a loving heart.
She leaves her husband of 47 years, Robert E. Cote, her daughter, Wendy Cote-Magan and her husband, Darren of Harvard, MA; her son, David Cote of Burlington, VT, and daughter, Mary Beth Bryan and her husband Christopher of San Diego, CA; grandchildren, Alexander and Jack Magan, and Ian Cote; siblings, Ronald Ingalls and his wife Sheila of Ashland, MA and James Ingalls and his wife Rena of Leominster; many nieces and nephews.
Jeanne was predeceased by her two brothers Richard and John Ingalls.
