Calling hours will be held in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Friday, October 29 from 3-5pm. A prayer service will begin at 5pm.

Fitchburg – Maria Briggs, 77, passed away on October 20, 2021.
Maria was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. She lived her faith through her strong sense of family and her acts of charity, especially her support of Beacon of Hope. Maria graduated from Fitchburg State University, earning her bachelor’s degree in business. For many years she enjoyed her part-time job at Walmart.
Her biggest treasure was her family. She loved nothing more than spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. In her spare time, Maria liked to go out to eat, watch movies, play darts, and visit the casino.
Maria is survived by her children, Pamela, Victoria, Jeffrey, Brianna, and their families; sisters, Geraldine Buswell and Laura Dugas; brother-in-law, Gary Dugas.
