A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am on Wednesday, April 6 in St. Joseph’s Church, 49 Woodland St., Fitchburg. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. There are no calling hours.
Donations can be made in memory of Mrs. Cormier to the American Cancer Society.
Athol – Marguerite M. Cormier, 91, passed away on Friday, April 1 in the Applewood Home for Elders surrounded by her Applewood caregivers.
Mrs. Cormier was born on August 29, 1930 in St. Marie, New Brunswick, Canada a daughter of the late Alphee and Marie (Robichaud) Cormier.
She was the wife of the late Gerald Cormier who passed away in 1986.
Mrs. Cormier is survived by her children, Linda Arsenault and her husband, Ralph of Winchendon, MA, Robert Cormier and his wife, Maureen of Fitchburg, MA, Roger Cormier and his wife, Donna of Phillipston, MA, Patti Cormier of Jacksboro,TN, brother, Omer Cormier, grandchildren, Kelli Arsenault and her boyfriend, Darvis, Ashley Polcari and her husband, Dominick, Anica Cormier, and great grandson, Bennett Polcari.
She is predeceased by her siblings, Laurie Cormier, Rita Cormier, Lorraine Boucher, Loretta Roy, and Clarence Cormier.
She enjoyed knitting, sewing, country music and her greatest love was spending time with her family.
The family would like to thank the staff at Applewood Home For Elders in Athol for their loving care to Mrs.Cormier during her stay.
